Modern jazz dance

Anne-Marie PORRAS, Knight of the Order of Arts and Letters is the founder of EPSEDANSE, Professional School of Dance Education, center authorized by the Ministry of Culture for the preparation of the State diploma of classical, jazz and contemporary dance teacher.

Trained by Walter Nickas and Ingebord Liptay, Anne Marie Porras specializes with the schools of Alvin Ailey, Martha Graham and Merce Cunnigham and she signs a singular trajectory in the world of contemporary jazz dance.

A graduate of the CA, regularly invited to international internships, she defines her work as follows:
"based on soft and present accents, a dense energy emerging from an interior path, traces a dance of contrasts and tells in unison the continuity, the echo of movement in the curve. The balance achieved in the arc of the spiral, draws in space a freedom of expression, the poetry of feeling ".

She signed her first creation in 1979 for the Conservatoire de Béjart.

In 1980, Claude LELOUCH entrusted him with the choreography of the French part of his film "les et les autres". She regularly registers new creations in her repertoire.

His company performs regularly in educational missions, on national stages and in prestigious international festivals.

His latest creations: NADIR “Les Forgotiés” in 2010 and “Et si…” in 2017.

Accompanied by Sadjoy San.

Often requested by the Montpellier electronic scene to mix, Sadjoy gladly combines DJing with dance with the Masterclass association or at the Festival.

His selection of sans electronic-house and meladic-techno accentuates the modernity of the discipline and breathes new energy into it which galvanizes the dancers.
