FANON Laurence

Floor-barre

After complete studies at the Paris Opera School of Dance, Laurence Fanon was named star dancer at the Théâtre du Châtelet at the age of 18. Invited artist in Europe, she broadens her choreographic vocabulary, and she embarks on new experiences: aerial acrobatics, contortion, acrobatic pas de deux, comedy and starts a career as a choreographer.

For the Folies Bergère and for the Lido de Paris, Laurence Fanon creates an aerial rope act that remained on display for ten years, and at the same time she organizes events in communication, advertising, fashion and she founds her choreographic company ADDIVA who participates in many shows. Laurence Fanon also choreographs for the Opéra Garnier, Bastille and the Capitole de Toulouse, European opera houses and festivals, music halls and cinema.

Each new show gives Laurence Fanon the opportunity to cast choreographic or circus artists in order to select the talents essential to her choreographic universe.
Laurence Fanon is invited as a pedagogue and member of the jury for international events, teaches her method of Barre au Sol in Paris and also gives Masters Classes of Acrobatic Lifts. As a teacher she was invited to the dance school of the Paris Opera.

She has been teaching her floor barre method since 1987. The fruit of a multiple and educational artistic experience - while referring to Boris Kniassef's method - Laurence Fanon's floor barre allows you to specify and improve performance related to classical dance, flexibility and work on the outside, tonicity and lengthening of the muscles, rhythm and musicality in an atmosphere of relaxation and concentration.
Allows children and teenagers a better understanding of their body image and adults a full body workout.
