Mourad BOUAYAD

Mourad Bouayad was born in Paris, son of Azzedine Bouayad, actor and Martine Harmel, choreographer.

He discovers Hip-Hop dance with Dominique Lesdema, contemporary dance in the classes of Larrio Ekson, both teachers at the International Stage of Châteauroux in which he has participated since childhood.

He joined the CNDC in Angers and graduated in 2015. He began a freelance career, which led him to work with European and Israeli choreographers such as Dominique Lisette, Laura Scozzi, Hillel Kogan, Ido Feder, Eyal Dadon and Amala Dianor.

In 2017, he joined the prestigious company "Batsheva Ensemble", directed by Ohad Naharin. He is trained in movement research called GAGA, he has been teaching it in Paris since 2018 for the Milkshake Project at Micadanses. He is also a mentor of several promising young dancers for the entrance examinations of the Grandes Ecoles and international companies (Codarts, Ballet Junior Genève, Batsheva Ensemble, Swedish Royal Ballet).

In 2020 he created the company Acno with Paul Lamy, their first pieces, FOR THE HUNGRY BOY and Enhanced are performed respectively at the Institut du Monde Arabe and at the CENTQUATRE 104 in Paris in 2021.

In 2022 he began a film career in the latest film by Hakim Belabbes in parallel with his choreographic career.
