LMZG

Between Electronic Clash and Flashback: Swing, Cabaret or Hip hop, but also brass and keyboards, LMZG plays with eras and styles on pop melodies. The band is a hit on stages worldwide thanks to their vision of French Touch and a wild and smiling live performance. If you look for them at your record store, they will be classified between Caravane Palace and Deluxe, in a unifying and positive music.

"I AM ANACHRONIC", THE NEW ALBUM BY LMZG AT 88 MILES/H!

Showtime! Here is the hexagonal electro-swing sensation! A unique musical mix combining swing, electro, and hip-hop eras with time travel. The band LMZG is going to add some colors to your playlists with this awaited comeback and a crazy 16-track album to be listened to without moderation, featuring several references to the Marty McFly trilogy (Back to the Future)!

"DISCOVER LMZG : THE FRENCH BAND WITH UNEXPECTED ELECTRO-SWING SOUNDS"

Who are they? LMZG is a French band coming from all corners of the hexagon. Composed of Quentin on saxophone, Felix on keyboard, Lucien on bass, Etienne on trumpet, Josie and Romain on vocals. It is thus initially a duo formed by Romain and Josie on stage, but it is also a true sextet that makes up LMZG. This unique musical blend is the result of collaboration between the six talented members of the band. Each brings their personal touch, creating a musical osmosis on stage that fascinates the audience who come to see the band live!

Romain, songwriter and performer, has been driven by writing since he was young and is behind the creation of the band and artistically directs the project and the desires of the electronic and swing! Quentin and Etienne form the "brass section." Both from the conservatory and having studied jazz and contemporary music, they have a more technical look at the compositions, and arrange the pieces to give them this special color. Felix and Lucien, on the other hand, provide the keyboards and synth bass as well as the electronic arrangements and production composition!

They all meet at parties or jams, over the years, chaining musical love at first sight that will form LMZG. Together, they play a mixture of electro-swing, with a perfectly balanced zest of pop and groove. LMZG is therefore a group with offbeat, undoubtedly explosive and surprising sounds.
Highlighted on the compilations of the Wagram label, available in national record stores, LMZG’s tracks have also traveled a lot. First listened to throughout Europe at concerts, and worldwide on listening platforms. They have been listened to in space by Thomas Pesquet, hardly any group will have played so far away!

Today, the band offers us a new album bringing together 16 tracks, some of which have already proven themselves on YouTube and streaming (the group's Spotify account exceeds 4.6 million listens). The story revolves around time travel and sci-fi ideas from cult films of the 80s: with this album, they will bring to life with this album and on tour the imaginary band of Marty McFly!

"I AM ANACRHONIC" IS A TIMELESS ALBUM!

It's a kind of mythical and imaginary Cotton Club that can be called a "digital cabaret," where the cozy atmosphere invites you to be carried away by the lights and a true show on stage. The album cover was created by Parisian artist Olivier Laude. The design lives up to the musical content, adding a visual dimension to the musical experience.

Themes and people come together with LMZG’s music, just like the styles and rhythms. LMZG returns once again to make you taste the fantasies of a musical journey through time. Between swing, urban groove and electro tinged with brass, LMZG plays with eras and styles to offer a retro-modern musical adventure.

In a positive vision of society and the world around it, LMZG likes to address themes of love, tolerance and human relationships in general.
Keeping swing sounds while singing in French and English is the challenge that LMZG has taken on. The verses are often sung in French, allowing Romain and Josie to put words to subjects that they could not better express in their native language. From carpe-diem and sensitive songs like "Le coeur à la fête" to stronger tracks like "Pleins phares," LMZG oscillates between two worlds.
